Frankie Villanueva
is a Brooklyn born, Bronx raised self taught artist who credits his rough upbringing in the gritty environments of New York
City’s more aggressive neighborhoods for his many talents. Frankie has been honing and developing
his skills since the young age of nine, when he first developed a love of cartooning. He soon discovered that art has many
faces. Sculpting, sketching, painting, and airbrushing were practiced continuously until he felt satisfied
that he was well-equipped to bring to life his many creative visions. One day in early 2003, Frankie was approached by his
childhood friend, Adel L. Morales, and they discussed making a dream into reality. After acting in several
student films, Adel strongly believed that he could make movies with the help of his closest friends. Frankie, Adel, and Julio
Antonio Toro joined to form HollyHood Productions, Inc.
Frankie has worked as an actor, gaffer, and key grip, often
on the same project. He has had the valuable opportunity to practice his DP skills as an assistant to Edwin Pagan, an accomplished
cinematographer. Always searching for a new way to express himself artistically, Frankie took on the role
of Production Designer on REPENTANCE. On HollyHood's most recent piece, TROUBLE CHILD, Frankie expanded his ever-growing list
of skills to become Set Designer, along with Lisa A. Hernandez. Frankie has proven to be invaluable to many film projects and
continues to prove that Hollyhood Productions goal is to produce quality entertainment for years to come. Frankie is
eager to learn and continues to expand his growth as an artist.
