Matthew Lesko, known to most as 'that guy who wears the question mark suit on late night TV', is an infomercial legend. Throughout the 80's and 90's and still keeping strong into the 21st century at the age of 67, he's been hawking his books on government grants for three decades. With titles like 'Free Money for Everybody' and 'How to Get a Grant' his enthusiastic advocacy of government programs has aroused admiration and admonition alike (not to mention sales in the millions). But who is the man behind the question marks? This short documentary is a whimsical and inspiring look at Matthew's life. A man with his own unique brand of zany wisdom.

I. “SALIM BABA” by Tim Sternberg (2008 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short)
Salim Muhammad is a 55-year-old man who lives in North Kolkata with his wife and five children. Since the age of ten he has made a living screening discarded film scraps for the kids in his surrounding neighborhoods using a hand-cranked projector that he inherited from his father. A pragmatic businessman as well as a cinephile, Salim runs his projector with his sons in the hopes that they will carry on his legacy of showing films to the local children.
II. "DIRTY LAUNDRY” by Cristina Ibarra
This fifteen-minute film was made from a collection of home movies, real-life telenovelas and my own fiction. It's about a girl's spin cycle cut short when she's asked to prepare for her cousin's quinceneras.

IV. “STICKERS” by Daniel Maldonado
Yells the story of Tommy, a quiet yet imaginative third grader, who while struggling for his teacher’s acceptance in class, recalls the sudden and haunting disappearance of his best friend and classmate, Judy Boyer. Using an assortment of visual palettes including a 1950’s Mental Hygiene Educational film style, “Stickers” is a compelling and haunting peek into the fragile nature of childhood classrooms and their innocent cruelty.

The story is told through the eyes of a young journalist named Maya, who has inadvertently gotten captured into a trafficking ring while doing an investigative article on the treatment of illegal immigrants in America. The story focuses on Maya and another young girl, Alexa, who are trapped in the trunk of a car on its way out of town and their eventual confrontation with their captors.
